A Sacred Milestone: Commemorating the 80th Jayanthi of our Guru
and Launching Our Dedicated Digital Home

The sacred grounds of Sri Sankara Gurukula Veda Patasala at Ponnala have just witnessed an unprecedented spiritual confluence during the two-day 80th Jayanthi Mahotsavam of our revered Guru, Brahmasri R. Venkatrama Salakshana Ghanapatigal. Over 250 accomplished alumni assembled under one roof to present a historic Guru Dakshina, highlighted by the monumental Eka Dina Sampoorna Krishna Yajur Veda Ghana Parayanam alongside parayanams of the other three Vedas on July 27. Today, on July 28, the celebrations culminated in profound remembrance with the completion of the recitations, benedictory Anugraha Bhashanams by Their Holinesses the Jagadgurus, and the formal release of the commemorative biography, Svādhyāya Pravacana Ratna.

It is amidst this uplifting atmosphere that we are deeply proud to announce the official launch of the exclusive website for Sri Sankara Gurukula Veda Patasala. Until now, our online footprint was warmly shared alongside our sister organisation at vedabhavan.org. However, with the expanding activities of our Ponnala campus, a growing global body of scholars, and decades of institutional heritage to preserve, the need arose for a distinct, standalone platform dedicated purely to the Patasala’s identity and mission.

Launching this independent portal today ensures our digital path forward is consecrated by the blessings of our Acharyas and the collective tapas of our Gurukula parivara. Going forward, this dedicated space will serve as the authentic single source for all Patasala activities—providing updates on all our patasala activities and offering a direct channel for alumni and patrons to stay connected and participate in our ongoing commitment to Veda Rakshana.
