Welcome to Sri Sankara Gurukula Veda Patasala (“Trust”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This website, vedapatasala.org (“Website”), is operated to provide information about our activities and to facilitate voluntary donations in support of Vedic education and other charitable activities undertaken by the Trust.

By accessing or using this Website and/or making a donation through the Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About the Trust

The Trust is a charitable organization established for the advancement and support of Vedic education and related charitable activities, in accordance with its trust deed and applicable laws.

The Trust undertakes activities including, but not limited to:

  • Supporting Vedic education and traditional learning systems.
  • Supporting the education, accommodation, food, medical care, and welfare of students (vidyarthis).
  • Supporting teachers, acharyas, scholars, and educational activities.
  • Developing, maintaining, and expanding educational infrastructure and facilities.
  • Preserving, publishing, and transmitting Vedic knowledge and traditions.
  • Undertaking other charitable activities consistent with the objects of the Trust.

2. Nature of Donations and Currency Restrictions

  • Voluntary Contributions: All payments made through the donation facility on this Website are voluntary, non-refundable contributions to the Trust.
  • No Commercial Consideration: A donation does not constitute the purchase of any goods, products, or services from the Trust.
  • Utilization of Funds: Unless a particular appeal specifically states otherwise, the Trust may use donations across its charitable programs, including administrative and operational requirements necessary to carry out such activities.
  • Specific Appeals: Where a donor contributes towards a specific project or purpose, the Trust will endeavor to apply the funds accordingly. However, if circumstances require (such as project completion or regulatory requirements), the Trust reserves the right to apply the donation towards another substantially similar charitable purpose in furtherance of its objects.
  • Currency and Foreign Contributions (FCRA): Unless explicitly stated otherwise and supported by statutory approvals under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), donations are accepted only in Indian National Rupees (INR) from resident Indian bank accounts and domestic payment instruments. Donors confirm that funds remitted do not originate from foreign sources prohibited under applicable Indian laws.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be legally competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, or applicable law to make a donation through this Website.
  • If making a donation on behalf of another individual, firm, or corporate entity, you confirm that you are duly authorized to execute the transaction.

4. Donor Information

You are responsible for ensuring that all details submitted during the donation process are authentic, accurate, and complete, including:

  • Full Name
  • Active Mobile Number
  • Valid Email Address
  • Complete Postal / Residential Address
  • Permanent Account Number (PAN) or other government-issued identification required for statutory compliance and tax reporting
  • Payment information required by the third-party payment gateway

Note: Incomplete or incorrect details (especially PAN and address) may prevent the Trust from issuing a valid donation receipt or reporting your contribution for tax deduction purposes.

5. Payment Processing

  • Online donations are processed through secure third-party payment aggregators and gateways (such as SBI MOPS, Razorpay, CCAvenue, or other authorized payment partners).
  • The Trust does not directly collect, view, or store your sensitive payment instrument credentials (such as credit/debit card numbers, CVV, PIN, or net banking passwords).
  • All transactions are subject to the terms of service, security standards, and privacy policies of the respective payment gateway partners and financial institutions.
  • Transaction confirmation displayed on screen is subject to final settlement and bank clearance.

6. Transaction Failures

If funds are debited from your account but the transaction displays as failed or pending:

  • Please allow 24 to 48 hours for automated banking reconciliation.
  • If the transaction status remains unresolved, write to us with the transaction date, debit amount, and bank reference/UTR number.
  • We will verify the status with our payment gateway partner and facilitate resolution or refund as appropriate.

7. Donation Receipts

  • The Trust issues official donation receipts upon successful receipt and reconciliation of funds.
  • Receipts are transmitted electronically to the email address or mobile number provided by the donor.
  • Donors are advised to preserve electronic receipt copies for personal and tax records.

8. Tax Deductions (Section 80G)

  • Donations made to the Trust may be eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, subject to the Trust’s valid registrations and prevailing statutory rules.
  • To enable the Trust to issue an 80G Certificate / Form 10BE filing with the Income Tax Department, the donor must provide a valid PAN and complete postal address.
  • Donors should consult their tax advisors regarding individual tax benefits; the Trust does not provide tax or financial advice.

9. Acceptable Use of Website

You agree not to:

  • Use the Website for unlawful, speculative, or fraudulent transactions.
  • Interfere with or attempt to breach the security or technical integrity of the Website.
  • Submit fabricated, deceptive, or misleading donor details.
  • Use another individual’s payment instrument without explicit legal authorization.
  • Transmit viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code.
  • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Website without prior written permission.

The Trust reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to any user engaging in abusive or unauthorized behavior.

10. Intellectual Property

  • All materials published on this Website—including text, photographs, audio/video recordings of Vedic recitations, logos, graphics, and documents—are owned by or licensed to Sri Sankara Gurukula Veda Patasala.
  • Photographs, names, and progress records of students (vidyarthis), teachers, and events are displayed for informational, reporting, and awareness purposes.
  • Website material may not be copied, reproduced, republished, distributed, or commercially exploited without prior written authorization from the Trust.

11. Third-Party Links

The Website may provide links or integrations to external third-party services (such as payment gateways, map locators, or social media pages). The Trust is not responsible for the content, uptime, or privacy standards of these third-party platforms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Trust, its trustees, administrators, and representatives shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from:

  • Temporary server downtime, payment gateway downtime, or network failures.
  • Clearing or settlement delays caused by banking institutions.
  • Security incidents occurring on user devices or networks outside the Trust’s control.

13. Amendments

The Trust reserves the right to revise these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect regulatory, technological, or operational changes. The updated document will be published with an updated “Last Updated” date.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of website usage or donations shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India.
