R. Venkatrama Ghanapadigal, our revered founder, was a vessel of humility, an āchārya in the truest sense, and a master of tapas.
न स्वाध्यायात् प्रवचने व्योमस्मिन् किञ्चन कर्तव्यम्

Though born into humble circumstances, Brahmasri Venkatrama Ghanapadigal was guided by divine grace and the direct blessings of the Kanchi Paramacharya. With unwavering devotion and rigorous practice, he completed the Krishna Yajur Veda Ghanantham, attaining the rare and prestigious distinction of Salakṣaṇa Ghanapati—a feat of profound scholarly excellence that requires a mind entirely dedicated to the preservation of the eternal sound.
In 1984, under divine command, the Patasala was born in Hyderabad. He established this institution with no worldly wealth—only the deep inner wealth of his practice. He began with just three Brahmacharis, teaching them that the Vedas – a book not to be read, but a vibration to be lived and protected.
